Brewery Pilsen makes transition from road to rail

What was transported on the street for a long time at the brewery Pilsen has been rolling on the rails recently with the Rail Cargo Group (RCG). The bottled beer is packed in boxes on pallets and loaded into freight cars of the Habillnss series. For this, the train comes through a siding directly into the brewery Pilsen.

In order to handle the loading efficiently, the brewery Pilsen recently had the siding completely renovated. Only then could the beer be moved from the road on the ecological rail.

After loading onto the freight car, a long journey begins for the beer bottles. 500 kilometers through the Czech Republic before the delicate goods reach the Radegast brewery in Nošovice. Again, the delivery is made directly via a siding.

“The perfect handling of the entire logistics chain under our responsibility proves once again that the railway is a reliable logistics partner and represents an attractive alternative to road haulage,” writes the Rail Cargo Group in a press release.

Leading international food and beverage manufacturers and retail chains have been relying on the logistics expertise of the Rail Cargo Group for decades. Quality-monitored trains and high-quality freight wagons not only ensure the supply between the production sites, but also the need-based delivery of the goods to the trade.
