With an investment of EUR 4.5 million, Bichler Spedition und Logistik GmbH has greatly expanded its site in Rohrbach an der Gölsen, in the district of Lilienfeld. The investment was used for the construction of a 2,200 m² transshipment hall and a warehouse with around 1,000 pallet spaces. In addition, 450 m² of office space, 100 parking spaces for cars and trucks for employees, customers and business partners, as well as a 400-meter-long noise protection wall were constructed.

Bichler Spedition und Logistik specialises in groupage transport with deliveries and pick-ups within Austria. On behalf of the dairy company NÖM AG, Bichler handles numerous milk collection transports to Baden. Every year, the forwarding company moves around 100,000 shipments with 75 trucks. “We offer our customers in the eastern region a full service from a single source,” says company owner Manfred Bichler in an interview with the logistics magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

One-fifth of the business of Bichler Spedition und Logistik is accounted for by private orders – with an upward trend. “Fewer and fewer customers want to transport their purchased garden loungers, exercise bikes or household appliances home themselves,” explains Manfred Bichler. With 150 employees, the company generates an annual turnover of just under EUR 20 million.
