Berger Logistik and Klaus Bichler go separate ways

Klaus Bichler recently resigned by mutual agreement from the management of Berger Logistik GmbH (Head of Road, Head of Customized Services, Rail, Air and Ocean, commercial law director for freight forwarding). The transport logistics company, based in Wörgl in the Tyrolean lowlands, confirms a request from the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung in this regard, and plans to fill this position soon. Until then, the tasks will be taken over by the management of Berger Logistik and Berger Beteiligung.

The Berger Logistik GmbH, founded in 1961 as a specialist for road transport along the axis of Italy via Austria to Germany v. v., today is a specialist in the field of European and partly global forwarding of large quantities of beverages, non-perishable food, consumer goods and harmless chemical products. In the 2017 financial year, the Tyrolean transport logistics company generated around EUR 155 million in revenue with 250 employees. The own fleet includes 100 pulling and nearly 400 towed units.

– Markus Ley: Head of Road, Sales, HR, Legal and Insurance and Purchasing, Commercial Director of Freight Transport
– Christoph Hackl: Head of Finance, Quality and Marketing, Event

shareholders:
– Berger Beteiligungs GmbH (via Berger Transport GmbH): 50 percent
– Red Bull GmbH: 50 percent

Berger Logistik is part of the Berger group of companies, which also includes Berger Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH (production of semi-trailers in lightweight construction) in Radfeld and Berger Truck Service GmbH (specialist workshop for lorry repairs) in Wörgl, each with around 50 employees.
