PHS, the company which developed the intelligent, automated quick unloading system Rapid Unloader together with the Austrian Post, received the coveted “Innovation Award” for its product novelty. Each year, the PostEurop Innovation Prize honors the most notable new developments that provide more sustainable results through their particular qualitative and quantitative advantages. The award was presented in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Andreas Wolfschluckner and Matthias Fritz from PHS also received another honor: among 30 men and women nominated in six categories, at the Austria’18 gala the two managing directors were honored for their creativity and commitment and named “Austrians of the year” in the “Innovation” category.
The Rapid Unloader accelerates the unloading of swap bodies or trucks by up to 75 per cent, while significantly reducing the physical strain associated with unloading parcels. The quick unloading system is composed of a mobile and a stationary unit. The stationary unit is positioned at the unloading gate in the logistics center, and can be coupled to the mobile unit, which comes with an extendable conveyor belt. This enables fully automated unloading – contrary to the partially automated systems which are currently predominant on the market.
