With its 190-year history, the First-DDSG Logistics Holding GmbH based in Vienna is one of the most prominent transport logistics providers in Austria and Central Europe. On 21st May CEO Viatcheslav Vdovitchenko invited customers and business partners to the Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront Hotel.

The inland shipping company transports more than 2 million tonnes of goods per year with a fleet of 230 units with a capacity of 330,000 tonnes, of which around 1.8 million tonnes are on the main line called East Line from Izmail in Ukraine to Linz in Upper Austria and back. In doing so, First-DDSG Logistics Holding GmbH is committed to a high degree of flexibility and customer orientation.

The company pulls out all the stops to meet this requirement on a daily basis. It has the luxury of its own floating cranes for fast bridging of the critical points for inland navigation on the lower Danube. Dedicated service teams keep the fleet in good condition.

In the port of Linz, First-DDSG Logistics Holding GmbH is now operating a Super Cleaner for the separation and proper disposal of bilge oils. In response to the ever-decreasing supply of shipyard sites on the Danube, a new Floating Dock for minor underwater work or repair of propeller and steering systems will soon be put into operation.
