The year 2019 was marked by considerable upheavals in European aviation. The aftermath of Air Berlin’s insolvency, various airlines leaving the market and the strategy shifts of the low-cost airlines led to more difficult conditions.

At Linz Airport, the economic slowdown was also noticeable in the Cargo segment. 46,797 tons of air freight were handled, which corresponds to a decrease of 10.7 percent compared to the previous year.

Graz Airport also recorded a slight decline in the cargo business. 18,970 tonnes transshipped in 2019 meant a decrease of 1.37 percent compared to the previous year.

Scheduled transport – passengers: 895,093 (-0.15 percent)

Charter transport – passengers: 141,836 (+5.48 percent)

Total volume – movements: 14,727 (-1.08 percent)

Total freight: 18,970 tonnes (-1.37 percent)
