Air freight: Launch of the Senator Africa Bridge to Johannesburg

On November, 4, 2018, for the first time, the company’s own controlled air freighter between Frankfurt-Hahn (HNN), Germany, and Johannesburg (JNB), South Africa was put into operation. The “Own Controlled Flight” (OCF) operates regularly with two connections a week. The cargo capacity of the cargo plane is 100 tons on 550 cbm.

They accept various kinds of goods for transport, in particular freight from the automotive and medical sector – and all this with the highest quality, safety and reliability. By using exclusive handling areas at both airports, customers benefit from short transit times, efficient cargo handling and fast customs clearance.

With this new destination in Johannesburg, Senator International is reacting to the strong demand in this region. Two years ago, the Senator Atlantic Bridge between Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN), Germany, and Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP), US, was successfully established on the market – with currently five departures per week. The flight schedule was extended to Mexico in June 2018 with regular departures once a week to and from Querétaro (QRO).
