The Kuehne + Nagel Group is strengthening its market presence in the region of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. Franz Braunsberger, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel Austria, today announced the takeover of the Jöbstl Group at a press conference in Graz. The employees of the Styrian forwarding company were informed yesterday about the change of ownership in company meetings.

With 250 employees at 11 sites in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia and Bulgaria and an annual turnover of around EUR 70 million, the Jöbstl Group based in Wundschuh near Graz is the prime example of a medium-sized service provider. The company with more than 90 years of tradition has become successful as a carrier.

These classic transport services are today embedded in the service packages in the fields of forwarding and logistics, where Jöbstl moves from parcel and general cargo shipments, truck part and full loads to industrial projects pretty much everything you can imagine.

With more than 82,000 employees at more than 1,300 sites in over 100 countries, Kuehne + Nagel is one of the world’s leading logistics service providers. The focus is on sea and air freight, contract logistics and land transport with a clear focus on value-added areas such as computer-aided integrated logistics services. In Austria, Kuehne + Nagel operates with around 500 employees at 12 locations.
