Prologis, Inc., the global market leader in the logistics real estate industry, has acquired a high-quality logistics facility in the Bavarian town of Neu-Ulm. The 16,000 m² building is located in the Pfuhler Ried Nord business park and is leased to an international logistics provider.
“Our goal is to further strengthen our presence in the logistics region of Schwaben,” says Stefan Siegle, Director, Market Officer Germany at Prologis. “With this acquisition, we have come a significant step closer to this goal, especially since the property is located in an established logistics location in the top location between Stuttgart and Munich.”
In addition to new developments, Prologis is increasingly focusing on the acquisition of existing real estate. “The acquisition of industrial and logistics facilities enables us to expand our portfolio with buildings that optimally complement our existing properties,” says Stefan Siegle. “This enables us to offer our customers modern logistics facilities in sought-after locations.”
The more than 30,000 m² plot is located on the main road 10, about 13 kilometers southwest of the interchange A7 and A8. The container terminal in Ulm North is easily accessible. Neu-Ulm is also well connected to Austria, Switzerland and Italy
Among other things, the newly acquired logistics facility has 640 m² of office space, 38 dock levellers and energy-saving LED lighting. In addition, a 24/7 operation is possible. After completion of minor renovations, Prologis will hold the property for the long term.
