Rabl, the family company Felbermayr from Wels celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for its new corporate headquarters in the northwest of Wels on 17th September.
The completion of the construction project is planned for the second quarter of 2021. This is when Felbermayr will move from its current location in the Wels industrial area to Voralpenstraße in Wels-Oberthan. Thus, the new headquarters for 700 employees on a floor space of 100,000 m² will be created within one and a half years. The built-up area will be 40,000 m² and, in addition to generous office space, will include 9,000 m² of workshop and halls. The outdoor facilities as well as the civil engineering works and the shell will be carried out by Felbermayr’s own business units construction as well as transport and lifting technology.
The new company premises are characterised by their own social building including a staff restaurant, fitness area and childcare facilities. “This creates an optimised working environment which should make it easier to reconcile work and family,” says the 74-year-old senior executive, chairman of the supervisory board and buidling client Horst Felbermayr.
Also the son of the same name, CEO of the group, is pleased to take the company into a modern future.
Above all, internal processes and routes the new building can be optimised and the communication in the company will also be improved.

Today, the Felbermayr Group employs around 2,700 skilled workers, who generated consolidated net sales of EUR
637 million in 2018. The company specialises in special and heavy transport,
mobile crane and aerial work platform rental, heavy lifting and civil engineering.
