Dynamic growth, the increasingly demanding requirements in e-commerce – keyword “Next Day Delivery” – and the desire for integrated automation strongly influenced the design of a uniform, fast and easily scalable IT architecture for all existing and future logistics sites at Post Systemlogistik GmbH. For this purpose, the Austrian Post subsidiary together with the IT and logistics experts of PureLoX Solutions GmbH, based near Koblenz, has developed and implemented an overall concept that meets the strategic requirements for IT and logistics and can be flexibly expanded in the future.
At the heart of this, the logistics service provider and PureLoX, a premium partner of viastore software, introduced the Warehouse Management System (WMS) viadat. The intuitive software maps all intralogistics processes, offers more than 2,500 functions as standard and can be easily configured to meet the individual requirements of the customer. For Post Systemlogistik, the customised system now ensures efficient and reliable processes throughout the entire supply chain. In addition, new clients can be connected within a very short time.
Beyond this central solution and the required system integration into the existing IT infrastructure, the specialists of PureLoX have extended the viadat WMS with a first software add-on from their own plx.suite. With plx.billing, the client billing at Post Systemlogistik is now fully automated.
