China is one of Kuehne + Nagel’s most significant markets. The global logistics company intends to continue growing twice as fast as the market. This was one of the key messages from Michael Fromm, Regional Intermodal Manager for North Asia Pacific Kuehne + Nagel, at the China Roadshow in Vienna on 6 May.

The KN freight forwarder is responsible for the intermodal transport logistics on the the China – Europe trades. In this business segment, the company registers a steadily growing transport volume. One of the reasons for this development is the significantly shorter transit times for FCL / LCL shipments between East Asia and Europe.

Kuehne + Nagel has been operating its own national organisation in the People’s Republic of China for 40 years. The organisation in Greater China currently employs more than 4,000 people at 46 locations and acts as a full-service provider with a focus on airfreight (over 300,000 tonnes per year), ocean freight (2 million TEU) and contract logistics (530,000 m² warehouses). In addition to numerous other companies, the group has well-known customers from the automotive, consumer goods, electronics, high tech and retail sectors.
