The international network for parcel and pallet transport Eurodis has won Geis Parcel as a new partner for the delivery of consignments in Poland and for transports from Poland to the other network partners. The company succeeds DHL in this role.
“The change increases the delivery options in Poland and the amount of mail in the network,” says Christian Knoblich, managing director of Eurodis GmbH in Weinheim, which controls the transport network for parcels and pallets. “With its performance and quality, Geis in Poland meets our standards 100 percent. In addition, the range of service fits us perfectly, because Geis delivers both B2B and B2C shipments or manages dangerous goods shipments and collections as well as returns or cash on delivery.”
The Geis Group operates a nationwide network for the transport of goods in parcels and on pallets in Poland. In addition, it offers warehousing logistics, partial and full load transports as well as air and sea freight. At 36 locations with a total of 83,000 m² of logistics and handling space, the company employs around 1,000 people, who generate around 60 million euros in annual sales.
“We are delighted to be Eurodis partners now,” says Daniel Knaisl, Managing Director of Geis Poland. “This gives us access to a European network with strong national partners who will take over our export packages.”
Eurodis is an international transport network established in 36 European countries that complements consistent quality standards and end-to-end shipment tracking through country-specific ancillary services. The cooperation of leading national logistics service providers, founded in 1993, specializes in transporting and delivering goods in packages and on pallets (B2B / B2C). This combined freight offer makes it easier for both senders and consignees to handle consignments and increases the flexibility in shipping.
Eurodis transports B2B and B2C shipments. The network is controlled centrally by the Eurodis GmbH in Weinheim (Germany). Members include companies such as trans-o-flex (Germany), Redur (Spain / Portugal), SDA (Italy), Austrian Post (Austria), PostNL (Netherlands) or Bonafide (Switzerland). With 52,000 employees and 25,000 vehicles in 2017, Eurodis members carried around 560 million consignments and achieved sales of 3.8 billion euros.
