Reorganization of the seaport logistics company J. Müller AG

J. Müller Agri + Breakbulk Terminals in Brake and J. Müller Weser in Bremen were merged into one company on January 1, 2018. The new company is managed as J. Müller Weser in the legal form of GmbH & Co. KG and is based in Brake (Unterweser).

J. Müller Weser GmbH & Co. KG consists of two companies (Brake and Bremen) and is managed by Thomas Bielefeld, Jens Ripken and Uwe Schiemann. The responsibilities of the managing directors are regulated as follows:

  • Thomas Bielefeld: Spokesman of the Management Board; agricultural / bulk products, forwarding, Ship Services; main responsible location Brake
  • Jens Ripken: pulp products, coffee, containers, general cargo; main responsible location Bremen
  • Uwe Schiemann: technology, operation, quality, authorities

Jürgen Huntgeburth, until now managing director for the Bremen location, retired from the management board as of December 31, 2017 due to his age. He has been a member of the group since August 2005 and has held various management responsibilities.

Thomas Bielefeld, spokesperson of the Management Board of J. Müller Weser: “Under one roof, we are setting up our operating units in Brake and Bremen in a future-oriented manner. The merger will enhance our service offerings. We are becoming more efficient in operations and in technology.”

The J. Müller Group is a provider of seaport logistics services with a focus on agricultural, bulk, break bulk and project cargo logistics. The company employs 460 people at the seaport terminals Brake and Bremen and generated sales of EUR 115 million in the 2016 financial year.
