Metrans is launching a new intermodal service connecting Trieste Marine Terminal (Molo VII) and Dunajska Streda with possible rail antennas to other terminals in Slovakia and Czech Republic. The inauguration of the first train will be on 9 September 2016. The service will run once a week.
The Metrans company provides all-inclusive just-in-time intermodal rail/road transport services operating own shuttle trains with cargo in maritime – deep sea and short sea, reefer, tank and special containers to / from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the German hinterland and Austria, connecting this territory by rail with major European ports, including Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Duisburg, or southbound rail connection to Koper, Trieste and Istanbul – based on a network of own high sophisticated container terminals/depots and modern railway hubs in Prague Uhřineves, Ceska Trebova (CZ) and Dunajska Streda (SK).
